Kim Kardashian Showcases Armenia Aeterna to Her 356 Million Followers

Armenian-American star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian recently shared a very special gift on her Instagram stories: a copy of the monumental historical masterpiece Armenia Aeterna.

To her more than 356 million followers, Kardashian expressed her excitement:

How cool is this Armenian encyclopedia? They sent me this huge copy that includes the entire history of Armenia — treaties, land concessions, all the maps, religious documents, and agreements that are so important to Armenian culture. Everything is in Armenian, but I thought it was amazing. This is the encyclopedia, which I think is now for sale, and it really explains everything in English about what happened and the entire Armenian history. It’s so important and cool to see all of this.

Armenia Aeterna in Argentina

For those living in Argentina, it was a privilege to witness the presentation of Armenia Aeterna at the 2024 Buenos Aires International Book Fair, following its international debut at the 2022 Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany.

Armenia Aeterna is a masterpiece that traces the origins and historical evolution of what may be the oldest country in the world. Through 41 key historical documents, it portrays the Armenian people’s relentless struggle for survival, preserving their identity and culture in the face of centuries of adversity.

Groundbreaking Research

The work is the result of years of scholarly research led by historians Prof. Giusto Traina (Sorbonne University) and Prof. Aldo Ferrari (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice), assisted by Dr. Immacolata Eramo (University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’) and Dr. Paolo Luca (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice).

The team examined over 20 archives across Armenia, France, Italy, the USA, Israel, the former USSR, and other countries. The publication is strictly limited to 991 hand-numbered and notarized copies, plus an exclusive deluxe edition of 25 copies crafted with precious metals.

International Recognition

In 2019, project creators Miguel Huguet and Alex Nahabetian traveled to Armenia to present the work. Prototype covers — made of leather and adorned with the Armenian coat of arms in metal — were gifted to President Armen Sarkissian, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, His Holiness Karekin II, and the Matenadaran (the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts).

In 2022, the finalized work was once again presented to His Holiness Karekin II, accompanied by a study book that provides detailed analysis of each document. That same year, the authors visited Lisbon, Portugal, and donated a copy to the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Today, copies of Armenia Aeterna — along with their respective study volumes — are housed at the Armenian Embassies in Argentina and Uruguay, as well as in private collections of individuals who actively support and promote its contents.

Armenia Aeterna is undoubtedly a timeless and immeasurably valuable work, now more relevant than ever.
